TopTen Common…. Uncommon Facts About White House Guests

First Lady Michelle Obama had some poets over to the White House this past Wednesday, to read some poetry, and one of those poets was Chicago rapper “Common”. While even casual hip-hop fans wouldn’t characterize him as a controversial rapper, Common found himself under the microscope. In question: the lyrics to “A Song for Assata,” about convicted cop-killer and former Black Panther Assata Shakur.

With this non-story actually supplanting the coverage of the  death of Osama bin Laden,  we decided to look at our TopTen Common and Uncommon Guests who have visited the White House in the past.

10. Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr., AKA “Common”

Who is this chick?

The White House party crasher turned reality star has launched a new career as a pop princess with the single: “Bump It.” Salahi says her inspiration for hitting the recording studio was none other than Oprah Winfrey. Let’s go to the press release:

Michaele Salahi was inspired to do something with her voice, when she was back stage with Grammy award winner Bebe Winans and television host Oprah Winfrey at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. during the inauguration of President Barack Obama. It was a defining moment backstage when Oprah told Michaele, “Wow, you have an amazing voice!”

An Oprah rep claims the queen of media never discussed Michaele’s singing ability with her.

I like this White House gig

First Lady Michelle Obama appears to confirm the haunted White House mystery. She spoke to a group of children visiting the White House and told the youngsters a strange story. It seems that during a period10 days or so she and her husband, the President,  have been awakened from a sound sleep in the middle of the night.

She said they heard strange sounds in the hall. And that the two of them had gone to investigate. Also, she said, some people in her family had reported the unusual sensation at times of someone or something gnawing or chewing on their feet, as if trying to eat them from the bottom up…..maybe it was Donald Trump.
